Spring Comes. Always.
As painful as his story is, I loved getting to know Tom Zuba a bit while writing this column about grief and depression. One of my friends, after reading it, referred to Zuba as "that Job guy." A fitting descriptor. He lost two children and his wife within several years. But he's shaped his life around helping others heal.
His advice for those who struggle with (figurative or literal) winter:
"Even if you don't believe healing your broken self is possible, repeat the phrase 'I am healing' as often as you can. Let it become your mantra,"
